The dedicated individuals who make Pegasus what it is every day.

Beata Webb

Beata Webb

Founder & CEO

Beata Webb is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pegasus – Men's Wellbeing Centre CIC, and a recognised specialist in men's mental health. She is a qualified psychotherapist, counsellor, clinical supervisor, and NLP practitioner, with over a decade of experience working with men experiencing emotional and psychological distress.

Beata practices in a pluralistic, trauma-informed way, adapting her therapeutic approach to meet each client's individual needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. She has extensive experience supporting men affected by work-related stress and burnout, addiction, abuse and domestic abuse, sexual violence, childhood trauma, and acute mental health crisis.

Her specialist expertise lies in men's mental health, domestic abuse, sexual violence, and developmental trauma, particularly where shame, isolation, or long-standing patterns have prevented men from accessing help earlier in life.

Beata is deeply committed to challenging stigma around men seeking support and to helping men move beyond survival towards stability, resilience, and meaningful change.

Lucinda Haldenby-Hill

Lucinda Haldenby-Hill

Director & Clinical Supervision Lead

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and supervisor registered member of the ACC. I have completed eight years of training including a BA in Therapeutic Counselling.

I have been a counsellor since 2014, working both independently and with a problem gambling agency for 8 years, more recently I have been working with Pegasus – Men's Wellbeing Centre CIC as a director and supervisor. I am an integrative counsellor, believing we are all individuals and often have bespoke needs, therefore I use many tools in my work which are tailored to the client's specific needs to move forward. I believe the client to be the 'expert' on themselves, knowing and understanding this is a process which may need unlocking and a build up of trust both in the counselling relationship and in the individual's self.

In 2017 I qualified as a counselling supervisor with the completion of a BA in Counselling Studies. I enjoy this aspect of the field particularly encouraging counsellors to be the best them they can be, both in the counselling room and in themselves.

Samantha Kemp

Samantha Kemp

Quality Case Auditor

I'm Sam and I am the Quality Case Auditor for Pegasus. I am also a fully qualified, BACP registered, counsellor offering face-to-face sessions in Helston, Constantine & Pool. I also offer online sessions, creating space for anybody, anywhere.

I was drawn to become a therapist after navigating my own mental health challenges and facing the struggle of having nowhere to turn for support. It wasn't until I found an incredible therapist that my perspective on life began to shift. Through their guidance, I developed deep compassion and understanding for myself and the way I had lived my life. Through my own personal journey of recovery, I discovered a deep desire to offer others the same kind of healing space that had supported me.

This calling led me to begin my training as a counsellor, during which I was fortunate to complete my placement hours at Pegasus. During that time, I developed a strong connection to the organisation and its values. I have remained committed to Pegasus ever since and am now proud to be both an employee and a volunteer counsellor, continuing to contribute to the supportive community that first helped me grow.

My approach is Person-Centred at heart — which means I believe you know yourself best, and I'll walk alongside you with empathy, honesty, and respect. I'm passionate about how our emotions live in the body, and how that shapes our mental wellbeing, relationships, and sense of self.

I have extensive experience supporting people through addiction and domestic abuse, and I draw on my own lived experience of menopause, fibromyalgia, and neurodivergence.

If you feel drawn to my private practice, get in touch — we can have a chat and see if I'm the right fit for you. Visit samphirecounselling.co.uk

How it began

Our Story

In Greek mythology, Pegasus was an immortal winged horse who sprang forth from his mother's neck as she was slain. Pegasus was said to be a good-hearted, gentle creature that was always happy to help.

Just like its namesake, Pegasus – Men's Wellbeing Centre CIC came into being because of pain and suffering; from the love of a wife for her husband and the love of a daughter for her father.

Beata Webb, the founder of Pegasus Men's Wellbeing Centre CIC, grew up witnessing her parents grow steadily further apart. Her father, a proud and loving man, turned to drink to escape his loveless marriage. Throughout Beata's life, her father inspired and empowered her. He supported and loved her.

He was a kind soul that slowly withered; like a beautiful flower that bloomed in the sun's warmth, yet shrivelled and died without it.

Gender socialisation played a large part in stopping her father from asking for help. The expectation that men don't cry. Men must be strong and carry on. That they don't get emotional.

I wonder how many people reading this have thought or heard the same thing?

Later, once Beata had qualified as a counsellor, she experienced yet more helplessness when her husband attempted to reach out for help through his GP. He was suffering from stress and work-related burnout. He found himself getting very tired, his mind "fuzzy" and got easily overwhelmed by situations.

Beata encouraged and motivated him but acknowledged more support was required. His GP arranged two over-the-phone assessments and decided he didn't warrant more. Being unwell, having no appetite, and no energy, it was clear more help was required. Because his condition was not seen as long term, didn't have a recognised "label", he was effectively shown the door.

This was the inspiration for Pegasus – Men's Wellbeing Centre CIC: a provision of easily-accessed support & counselling where the criteria to qualify for is not the "label" of your condition – but simply that you are a man who is suffering.

A man can be less likely to engage in the self-healing behaviours of discussing their situation openly with their peers, where women readily will & do. This defined the key area of therapy provision which Pegasus – Men's Wellbeing Centre CIC is set up to address.

Pegasus was born in Cornwall, UK, and now it flies to provide services in Devon and London.
